Monday Night Sprints

Hear ye, hear ye: Every Monday night, KRW will be hosting writing sprints via Zoom at 8pm. Join us anytime to get some writing done with your KRW friends.

It's a bird, it's a plane...No, it's a blog!

You might be wondering what happened to the long article usually found in our newsletter. Well, those articles are now blog posts! KRW has an official blog, The Romance Writer.

Why did we switch to having a blog? It's better for KRW and our authors. Our newsletters don't really get any SEO traction. (Unsure what that means? Just think of it as web search engines have a hard time finding content from our newsletters.) We can write our own SEO destiny with blog posts, however. Which is a good thing for KRW's web presence as well as any author who writes a post. Any blog poster gets their own "about the author," so keep that in mind if you're looking to increase your own web presence.

May Meeting

KRW welcomes Lynn Slaughter, whose upcoming novel, Leisha’s Song, will be released June 22 by Melange/Fire and Ice. Our chat with Lynn will begin following the KRW business meeting at 11am.

About Lynn: After a long career as a professional dancer and dance educator, Lynn Slaughter earned her MFA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University in 2016. She writes coming-of-age romantic mysteries and is the author of It Should Have Been You, a Silver Falchion finalist; While I Danced, an EPIC finalist; and Leisha’s Song (June 22, 2021, Fire and Ice). Her short story, Missed Cue, appears in Malice Domestic’s 2020 anthology, Murder Most Theatrical. She lives in Kentucky where she’s at work on her next novel, Deadly Setup, and serves as the President of Derby Rotten Scoundrels, the Ohio River Valley chapter of Sisters in Crime.
